Inez / Ines

You heard the rumors from Inez that this is a great baby name too! Taylor references Inez in the Folklore song “Betty” as the source of some important gossip. Inez has Portuguese roots and translates to “pure”, so much for a gossiper 😊

James

Taylor writes about James as the third character in the love triangle in her Folklore album. While he may be a teenage heartbreaker in her song, James is a baby name that will grow with your child from the hospital delivery room to homeroom. Taylor also mentions the name James in “Begin Again” in reference to James Taylor, and in “Style” regarding James Dean.

Abigail

Taylor shouts out Daisy Mae in her Midnights song “You’re On Your Own Kid.” The floral name is becoming more popular again, and it feels fresh and springy for a sweet baby girl.

Tim/Timothy

Inspired by Taylor’s debut single, “Tim McGraw,” and the legendary country star she sings about, Timothy will never go out of style. (See what I did there?) If you’re a country superfan, naming your child after both Taylor’s song and McGraw himself is like the ultimate honor.

For those who love Taylor’s country beginnings, consider Georgia, as in: “The way my blue eyes shined put those Georgia stars to shame that night.”

The post Are Demons Coming Out of your Baby White Noise Machine? appeared first on GingerbreadMom.

**This post contains affiliate links***

Every now and then I like to go in my pantry and fetch my tin foil hat, just for the fun of it. So I see this trend on ticktock about baby white noise machines. Apparently, they are supposed to help your baby fall asleep and many parents swear by them. All the mommy blogs laud them and even Forbes wrote an article about the best White Noise Machines for Babies.

I was shocked when I just heard about this product only because my husband for years always jokes about not wanting to fall asleep in front of a  tv that was powered on because he watched a horror movie as a kid called “White Noise’. I haven’t watched it, but according to him demons and entities would come out of the tv and inhabit people’s bodies when they fell asleep before it.

What is a White Noise Machine

Now as a millennial mom and a mom blogger,  I’m always on Beyonce’s internet digging for the newest and latest baby trends and products, and that’s how I found out about these White noise machines. Of course, the only thing that came to mind was that damn White Noise Movie my husband is always going on about, so before I bought that into our home, I decided to do some good ole google schmuggling.

So according to Bill Gates’s internet, white noise is a type of sound that is produced by combining all audible frequencies at equal levels. It is commonly used as a sleep aid, as it can help mask other sounds and create a more peaceful environment. White noise baby products, such as sound machines and stuffed animals with built-in white noise generators, have become popular among parents to help their babies sleep.

However, despite their popularity, some people like myself are curious as to whether white noise baby products are demonic.  I wanted to know whether white noise is demonic and whether it can open up channels to the spiritual realm and allow demonic entities to enter a person’s home.

How White Noise Machines Work

White noise machines block out other sounds, so your baby can drift off to sleep—and stay asleep—without being bothered by the household or outdoor noise. The white noise machines are used to play white noise similar to that of a running fan but might include varying pitches and other calming sounds such as running water, rain, forest noises, or the ocean.

What People are Saying

Several users on Quora reported hearing strange noises coming from their white noise machines. One user who goes by the name Derek T, posted;

“I caught mine (white noise machine) on camera. The white noise machine was buzzing along and the door handle made a rattle waking my five-year-old daughter. The white noise volume somewhat lowered and a voice said, “Got Milk”. The white noise returned after the voice.”’

And another user, Joe Geronimo Martinez, said that he has heard the “Take care and beware the evil one is watching you” repeated, from a white noise machine.’

A third user said “The final straw for me that caused me to unplug the damn thing was when I heard a man obnoxiously shout the name “DANIEL!!!” It was so weird, and I have no idea why that specific and random name, but I decided I was done with it, I was too scared to keep using it.”

Prior to this article, I have never owned a white noise machine so I cannot say I have heard and witnessed anything like these quora users.

What Does Science Say?

Although I can be a bit of a conspiracy theorist sometimes, I am very practical too. Let’s see what the science says, shall we?

After extensive research, there is no scientific evidence to support this claim that white noise sound machines are demonic.

In fact, many experts recommend the use of white noise as a safe and effective way to help babies sleep. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends the use of white noise machines as a way to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). A study published in the journal Pediatrics found that infants who slept with white noise machines had a lower risk of SIDS than those who did not.

White noise has been shown to have a calming effect on babies. Danelle Fisher, M.D., a pediatrician and chair of pediatrics at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California, says that “A lot of babies really like white noise. It’s very soothing,”.

And a study published in the Archives of Disease in Childhood found that infants who were exposed to white noise slept better and cried less than those who were not.

Why some People May Hear Creepy Sounds

Since white noise machines, produce constant noise they are known to cause auditory hallucinations. What’s that? That’s when your brain is constantly trying to find patterns in things that have no pattern, like seeing images in the clouds.

What I think

I am still a bit skeptical and probably won’t be buying a white noise machine, anytime soon. But as I said the experts and moms on ticktock swear by them, so if you have a fussy baby or a noisy house where your baby can hardly sleep, maybe you can grab a white noise machine from Amazon.

There seems to be no scientific evidence to suggest that white-noise baby products are demonic. On the contrary, they have been found to be safe and effective in helping babies sleep. If are concerned about the use of white noise, you should consult with your pediatrician or a sleep expert to discuss your options. 😊

Until next time. XOXO Monica

Choosing a name for your baby is an important decision that parents often put a lot of thought into. However, there are some baby names that are banned in the United States for various reasons. In this blog post, we’ll explore some of the most interesting and unusual names that have been banned in the US.

Lucifer

The name Lucifer, which means “light-bringer” in Latin, has been banned in several states due to its association with the devil. While some parents may be drawn to the name because of its unique sound, it is considered too controversial for use as a baby name.

Adolf Hitler

In 2015, a New Jersey couple made headlines when they attempted to name their child Adolf Hitler. The name has been banned in several states due to its association with the infamous dictator responsible for the atrocities of World War II.

Jihad

While the name Jihad has a positive meaning in Islamic culture, referring to a spiritual struggle, it has been banned in several states due to its association with terrorism and extremism.

Nutella

While many parents choose to name their children after their favorite foods or drinks, the name Nutella has been banned in several countries, including the US. The Italian confectionery company Ferrero, which owns the Nutella brand, filed a lawsuit to prevent the use of the name as a baby name.

AK47

While it may seem unlikely, some parents have attempted to name their children after weapons. In 2013, a Tennessee father was banned from naming his son AK47, after the assault rifle.

Robocop

The name Robocop may be a popular choice for fans of the sci-fi franchise, but it has been banned in several states due to the use of the name as a trademark.

Superman

While it may seem like a fun choice, the name Superman has been banned in several states due to trademark laws. The name is associated with the comic book character created by DC Comics.

While some of these banned baby names may seem unusual or even humorous, there are often valid reasons why they are not allowed. Parents should take care when choosing a name for their child and consider the potential implications of their choice.
